In essence, the Young Nelson superhero story is a creative masterpiece about Thabo “Young Nelson“ MoAfrika, a 21-year-old South African citizen who, through an act of kindness to an old lady he would come to know as Mama Afrika, gains supernatural abilities that allow him to change the course of humanity for the greater good. The storyline features proudly African characters telling proudly African stories of heroismand valor which highlight our nation’s greatest qualities in addition to topics such as “what the new South Africa looks like” , afro-futurism, the fourth industrial revolution (4IR) as well as seeing the hero in one another, all while shaping the South African comic book and animation scene.
